Papermakers of Queensland represents and furthers the interests of hand papermaking and papermakers.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in working with paper in any form, whether from Queensland or elsewhere.
The interests of members are varied and include papermaking, paper sculpture, artists books, paper clay, surface design and pulp painting, marbling, calligraphy and printmaking.
The POQ membership bases includes professional artists as well as beginners and individuals working in papermaking and bookbinding trades. The emphasis is on sharing of skills and information, experimentation and bringing together people who have an interest in paper.
POQ publishes a quarterly newsletter, sends bulletins of information to members, and has a programme of regular and one-off actvities and exhibitions in various locations in Queensland.
