'Arthur on the Rocks'

One of a number of aluminium plates made during a residency at Bundanon in June 2005. I was interested in experimenting with tonal variation using copper sulphate to etch aluminium. All the tones are achieved with open bite.
The title is a tongue in cheek reference to Moses in the Bullrushes - as if Boyd had sprung fully formed to be found on the Shoalhaven rocks by his mother amidst his recurring imagery.
