'Vipers are Venemous'

Dutch  Etching paper 280 gsm  .
Charbonel and Sakura inks
Aluminium etched plate, bitumen and spray paint, in a bath of copper sulphate and salt .
Printing was a two stage process. Initial inking was in  purple, dried,  then  overprinted with yellow and red applied directly to the plate in the desired areas “a la poupee”

THE INSPIRATION FOR THE IMAGE 
“Vipers are Venomous” is the first plate in a book of 10 etchings dealing the issue of breaking free from the insidious and often unacknowledged  web of controlling and manipulative relationships.
