'Fresco Uccello'

I wanted to achieve the look of an ancient fresco. Acrylic modelling paste was applied to gesso coated mat board. A found tin bird shape was pressed into the paste which was left a few days to harden. After removing the bird the plate was sanded, inked with a toothbrush, wiped with a rag, and printed on damp paper.
