Clancy of the overflow - acrylic painting

'Clancy of the Overflow'    2004.   Acrylic on canvas.   1500w  x  1000h
This painting describes  verses  in a poem 'Clany of the Overflow', by the famous Australian poet A.B.(Banjo) Paterson, that read:
'...........I am sitting in my dingey little office
where a stingey ray of sunlight,
struggles feebley down between the houses tall.........

.......and in place of lowing cattle,
I can hear the fiendish rattle
of the tramways and the buses
making hurry down the street.......'.
